'Soufra' Screening in Aberystwyth - WOW x Welsh Refugee Council📍 Arad Goch, Aberystwyth
đź“… Friday 7 March, 6pm
🎟️ Free event
As part of WOW Around Wales - and our final screenings before the WOW Film Festival begins - we’re hosting a special free screening of SOUFRA at Arad Goch in Aberystwyth.
Delivered in collaboration with the Welsh Refugee Council and the Ceredigion Community Film, this event is part of a wider run of free and welcoming gatherings across early March, created with International Women’s Day in mind. These screenings are about community: offering women (with children or without) a chance to take a breather, spend time together, and enjoy powerful films in supportive, friendly spaces.
Whether you come on your own, with friends, or as a family, you’re warmly invited to come as you are and feel at home. EVERYONE IS WELCOME.
About the film:
SOUFRA is an uplifting documentary about Mariam, a mother and community leader, who brings women together through a shared love of food. What begins as a small idea grows into a vibrant collective project, filled with teamwork, creativity, and determination.
Warm, hopeful and full of joyful moments, the film celebrates collaboration, leadership, and the strength that comes from women supporting one another. A deeply human story, told with passion and love.
