One of the most colorful geniuses in American history, Ben Franklin went to Paris in 1776 as ambassador from the fledgling USA. Delighting in Parisian concerts and ballroom dances, he won the hearts of the French. We evoke his musical adventures in this festive program of orchestral works from his time in Paris, including Mozart’s “Paris” Symphony and sparkling dances by Rameau.
