COMMENT 'PARENT' TO BOOK YOUR PLACE.
We're running a FREE First Aid class aimed at parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters and everything in between! If you are around children in any way - we want you to know what to do in the event of an emergency.
The class will be run by operational first responders with years of experience being first on scene in an emergency, along with years of experience in training people in First Aid and trauma care.
The class will start at 10am and will last around 3 hours (this is approximate and may run over, if you have to shoot off thats fine!).
We will cover things like:
- How to recognise a cardiac arrest
- How to perform CPR in children and infants
- How to use an AED
- How to manage a choking child/infant
- How to recognise and manage common medical emergencies until further help arrives
- How to manage a major bleed
- General First Aid and more...
There will be some theoretical input and lots of practical practice for you to build your confidence!
Due to space and number of instructors we are limiting attendees to 15 per session, however we plan to run these regularly so dont worry if you miss out - we will add you to the list for the next one!
We believe every parent (and anybody around children) deserves to be confident in an emergency - that's why we're running this class for FREE.
St Margarets Church has kindly allowed us to use their space to allow this, so we are asking that those that attend make a voluntary donation to the church (if they are able to).
