The Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library is hosting a series of native plant giveaways this summer! Take home FREE native perennials for your gardens, and learn about the many benefits native plant gardening brings to our local ecosystem.

No gardening experience necessary! At the event, plants will be organized by their preferred growing conditions and OWSL's passionate and knowledgeable volunteers can help you find what will grow best in your space, whether it is sunny, shady, dry, or wet. Even if you don’t have much garden space, native plants can still be grown in containers on a balcony or patio.

This past winter, we invited our community to “Sow Extra!” seeds while winter sowing to help support community greening and conservation projects. We encourage those with extra seedlings to bring them to the plant giveaways, and we invite those building community gardens to attend to source plants for them!
