🚨 GET READY TO WATCH SOME TACOS BE EATEN! 🌮🔥
The countdown is ON! Last year’s inaugural Taco Eating Competition was absolute legendary status. Let’s look at the leaderboard they left behind after 15 minutes of pure madness:
👑 Catherine: 13 Tacos (The Undefeated Champ)
🥈 Isaiah & Scotty: 11 Tacos
🔥 Shon: 10 Tacos
💥 Matt: 9 Tacos
🌮 Greycin & Noor: 6 Tacos
We had a massive wave of entries this year and an incredible amount of interest. Because of that, we are thrilled to announce that we have over 20 hungry contestants stepping up to the plate!
They’ll be competing against a large crowd, a ticking clock, and each other.
Join us this Saturday, June 13 to watch history be made once again! Here is everything you need to know:
⏰ THE TIMELINE
12:30 PM: Participants arrive for check-in and prep.
1:00 PM: THE MAIN EVENT STARTS! Shaaaaarp. Don't be late! ⏱️
🌮 THE CHALLENGE TACO: "The Old del La Ha"
This year, we are serving up pure nostalgia. It’s the ultimate throwback loaded with:
✨ Seasoned ground beef
✨ Cheese
✨ Crisp lettuce & juicy tomatoes
✨ Fresh cilantro & a drizzle of smooth crema
🚫 THE CATCH: Absolutely NO substitutions during the battle. They have to eat 'em exactly how we make 'em!
📍 PARKING & ACCESS
Parking: Some parking is available right where our food truck is located, but space fills up fast! Parking is ultimately at your discretion, so feel free to get creative.
Walking Access: You can easily walk right up to the trailer through the back path, or around either the Five Guys plaza or the East Side Mario's plaza or from Innes Road.
📋 DAY-OF RULES
The official contest rules will be posted clearly right outside the trailer and on the tables on the day of the event so everyone can keep score.
🧡 BRING YOUR CHEERING SQUAD & SUPPORT GREAT CAUSES!
We highly encourage you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors along to watch, cheer on the participants, and enjoy the high-energy atmosphere!
It’s going to be a fantastic community event with some amazing initiatives running right alongside the competition:
🍋 Kids' Lemonade Stand: We will be featuring Mike's Soft Lemonade stand at the event! 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario).
🥫 Food Bank Drive: We are also collecting non-perishable food items on-site for The Orleans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre.
We invite you all to bring a donation along if you are able to help support our local community!
We can't wait to see you all there for the ultimate taco showdown.
