FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Registration and tickets are not required to participate.

Residents of Albemarle County, the City of Charlottesville, and the Town of Scottsville are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste (HHW) on Friday, April 17, 2026, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9 am-3 pm. The special collection event will take place at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Commercial participation is prohibited.
