About this Event

Heritage Open Days Special Free event (but donations are welcomed)

Join these guided walks of The Stade (the fishing area of Hastings) led by friendly and knowledgeable local volunteers. The Stade is a richly diverse area where art, fishing, famous writers, good food, fascinating geological formations and an award-winning miniature railway all sit side by side! You will learn a potted history of all this and how our fishing is unique. You will be able to see the boats on the beach with the possibility of a boat coming ashore!) and the unique black Net Shops. Please ask your guide if you'd like to know about anything specific of the area. The walks begun life as part of the Stade Education Project and when the project finished it was handed over to The Hastings Fishermen's Museum
