Free and open to all ages
Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and calm at Free Family Day: Art & Well-Being. This special event invites families and visitors of all ages to explore the galleries, make art together, and experience gentle movement and sound-based wellness activities designed to nurture both body and mind.
Throughout the day, enjoy hands-on artmaking in our classrooms, take part in guided tours and storytime in the galleries, and unwind with immersive sound healing sessions. Whether you’re looking to move, create, relax, or simply spend meaningful time together, there’s something for everyone.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Suzanne Costello is a dance/theater director, choreographer, performer, and educator with a 40-year career dedicated to storytelling and amplifying underrepresented voices. As Artistic Co-Director of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT), based in Minneapolis, she has toured nationally and internationally, bringing her distinctive approach to movement and narrative across diverse communities.
Maria Voorhees-Reincke is an Intuitive Sound & Energy Healer with over a decade of experience. She is the founder of MVR Healing, is known for her sold-out sound baths, retreats, and sacred healing spaces. Blending vibrational sound therapy with intuitive energy work, Maria guides others into deep rest, emotional release, and nervous system regulation. Her work is rooted in her own healing journey, she is passionate about helping others reconnect with their peace, their power and the wisdom within.

Rochester Art Center strives to be welcoming and accessible for all people. The building has an elevator and three flights of stairs, and all spaces are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Service animals are welcome. A designated quiet space is available on the 3rd floor. Masks are available upon request and guests are encouraged to arrive fragrance free. A range of seating options are available around the building and during programs. There are two gender neutral restrooms located on the second floor.
