Free Capoeira Class: Welcome Instructor Onça to Fayetteville!

We’re excited to welcome Daryl "Onça" Brigman to the NWA Healing Hub—and you’re invited to help us kick things off!

Join us for a FREE introductory Capoeira class on Saturday, April 5th, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. This is a fun, no-pressure way to experience this unique Afro-Brazilian martial art that blends self-defense, acrobatics, dance, and music. Whether you’re a total beginner or just curious, come check it out and help us grow the Capoeira community in Fayetteville!

What is Capoeira?
Capoeira (pronounced "cop-o-way-rah") is more than just a martial art—it’s a blend of movement, music, and community. It’s playful, powerful, and totally unique. Expect to move, learn some basics, and get a taste of the rich culture behind the art.
What to Expect:

• Movement & Self-Defense – Learn the fundamental kicks, escapes, and flows.
• Music & Culture – Experience Capoeira’s rich musical traditions with live rhythms.
• All Levels Welcome – Whether you're brand new or experienced, come join the roda (circle)!

About Instructor Onça:
Onça began training Capoeira in 2005 under Mestre Queixo, a student of Mestre Carioca and Mestre Bom Jesus. He earned his instructor cord in 2012 and led the Carioca Capoeira Baltimore Group before relocating to Fayetteville.

Starting April 15th, we’ll be offering regular Capoeira classes:

• Tuesdays 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
• Saturdays 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

The cost is $18 per class. Join us and keep the movement alive!
