Free Boston Harbor Island Cruise to Georges Island- Thursday 7/2

On Thursday we will be departing from Fan Pier 26 Fan Pier Boulevard to Georges Island.

Schedule of the Day:

9:15 am : Arrival at 26 Fan Pier Boulevard location to check in with Save the Harbor Staff

9:45 am: Welcome and orientation 

10:15 am - Board boat and depart for island

11:00 am -1:30 pm Lunch and Island Activities

1:30 pm - Board boat and depart for Boston

2:30 pm - Arrive back in Boston

Things to Bring:

• Water bottles 

• Lunch
• Trash Bag (this is a carry on-carry off island)
• Sun Protection (hats, sunblock, sunglasses, etc)

The seaport is accessible by the Silver Line from South Station

For Fan Pier: Get off at Courthouse Stop

By Car-

From I-90

For Fan Pier, Take exit 135 and continue straight onto Pier 4 Boulevard. Continue straight across Congress Street, Seaport Boulevard, then take a left on Northern Ave. You'll then take your third right onto Fan Pier Boulevard, and continue straight until the road curves at the waterfront where you will meet our staff.

From I-93 N

For Fan Pier, take exit 16B Purchase Street. At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Seaport Boulevard and continue over the bridge. After the bridge, take your second left onto Fan Pier Boulevard and continue straight until the road curves at the waterfront where you will meet our staff.

From I-93 S

For Fan Pier, take exit 15B onto Frontage Road Toward Roxbury, Mass Ave. At the end of the ramp, take your first right onto MassPort Haul Road. Continue on Haul Road for about a mile and a half as it curves right then left. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Northern Ave. Continue on Northern Ave for about a half mile past the fish pier and the World Trade Center Pier. You'll take your third right onto Fan Pier Boulevard and continue straight until the road curves right at the waterfront where you will meet our staff.

Parking:

There is limited parking in the seaport, so the best option is to be dropped off at the meeting locations. There are a few garages (with low clearance) in the Seaport, however they usually run you about $40. Please make a plan for parking before you arrive!
