About this Event
More than 50 years after the world met Mister Rogers, modern science is clear: the methods he used in the Neighborhood can help every learner thrive.
So, what would it take to make our classrooms, libraries, early learning centers, and even our homes a little bit more like the Neighborhood? How might teachers and caring adults use Mister Rogers’ blueprints to help every young person become the best of whoever they are?
On March 15, we’re going to find out.
Join us for frED Camp — a free professional development event for every kind of educator — and learn from fellow educators who make Mister Rogers matter. This year, frED Camp is hosted at Fred Rogers Institute at Saint Vincent College which advances the legacy of Fred Rogers by investing in the strengths of families and caring adults to support the healthy development of children. frED Camp attendees will enjoy exclusive access to the Fred Rogers Archives which preserves over 22,000 items from Fred Rogers' personal and professional life. In addition to a self-guided tour of the archives, all attendees will participate in a plenary workshop by Emma Lee, the director of the Fred Rogers Institute.
Other workshops presenters include:
- Trying Together
- PAECT
- WQED Education
- Matts Makerspace
- Teach like Fred
Please note that Act 48 and PQAS Credits are available for attedning frED Camp.
