Join Justin at the Oranjezicht City Farm on Saturday, 6 December for an immersive fragrance workshop unlike any other. Guests will explore a curated palette of dozens of different materials and be guided step-by-step in creating their own signature Eau de Toilette. During the session, Justin will introduce the major fragrance families and explain how top, heart and base notes work together to form a balanced composition. From sketching your initial idea, to selecting materials, evaluating accords and finally blending your finished fragrance, you’ll experience the full creative process behind perfumery. This intimate workshop distills years of knowledge, field experience, and artistic practice into an inspiring hands-on journey – perfect for anyone curious about the craft of scent.
ABOUT JUSTIN:
Justin Williams is a self-taught perfumer who has spent the past eight years immersed in the art of fragrance. A renowned Cape Town forager and mycologist with an exceptional sense of smell, he has long been guided by a deep connection to nature.
Over time, this bond evolved into a desire to capture and share the scents of the wild places he grew up exploring. What began as simple experiments with essential oils, absolutes and homemade tinctures, soon grew into a serious pursuit. Justin delved into organic chemistry, refining his technique and expanding his knowledge. Today, he is emerging as one of South Africa’s most exciting new talents in perfumery, blending his unique background rooted in nature with modern fragrance design to tell the stories of Cape Town in a completely original way.
