Fragmants - nostalg_Y

During the evening, selected excerpts from nostalg_Y, the latest work by Frenák Pál, Kossuth Prize–winning choreographer, will be presented on stage. The carefully chosen sequence of solo and duet excerpts condenses the essence of Frenák’s decades-long artistic world into a concentrated form.

Through fragments that collide seemingly at random yet remain deeply connected, human relationships between different generations unfold: young characters who already carry their older selves within them, and older figures who bear the consequences of decisions made in their youth. Visionary images of past, present, and future are reorganised into a personal order, creating new layers of meaning.

Scenes infused with absurd, subtle humour prevent life’s natural challenges from becoming overwhelmingly heavy. The message is unmistakably positive: every stage of life possesses its own beauty and the possibility of being lived in fullness. Those who are able to embrace this experience the passage of time not as tragedy, but as transformation.
