In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Valley of Pittsfield MA AASR NMJ, in partnership with the 30th & 31st Masonic Districts, is hosting historian and author Christian Di Spigna.Executive Director of the Dr. Joseph Warren Foundation, Di Spigna will be discussing his acclaimed biography, “Founding Martyr: The Life and Death of Dr. Joseph Warren, the American Revolution’s Lost Hero”.
One of the most important figures in early American history, Dr. Joseph Warren, an architect of the colonial rebellion, was involved in almost every major insurrectionary act in the Boston area from the Stamp Act protests of 1766 to the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, and the Battle of Lexington & Concord, drafting of the Suffolk Resolves, to his untimely death in June 1775 at the Battle of Bunker Hill - Warren was pivotal in laying the foundation for American independence.
Appropriate attire for brethren is dark suit and tie or jacket, collared shirt, tie, dress pants, and dress shoes.
This event is free and open to the public - On street parking is available
A spaghetti dinner will be held at 6:00 PM - A $10.00 per person donation is suggested with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Valley of Pittsfield’s Berkshire County Charitable Giving Program - RSVPs for dinner are greatly appreciated - The keynote presentation will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
