Djembe and Doun Doun intergenerational, multi-level class with Master Malinke djembeföla! Bolokada Conde from Morowaya, Guinea, West Africa at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts on Renne Ave in Pittsfield, MA featuring a multi-level drum class with Bolokada and a mini presentation featuring Bolokada, Aimee Gelinas with members of Gaia Roots and the Berkshire Rhythm Keepers!
The spring portion of our 17th annual Tamarack Hollow Berkshire drum fest is an annual community experience to gather and celebrate in the spirit of the drum. Fest proceeds will support the artist and the Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center’s year round environmental education for all ages, the “Raise the Roof” fund to support our in process sustainable nature and cultural education center building project and to continue to conserve 88 acres of highland boreal forest in Windsor, MA for future generations. Tamarack Hollow is a 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit organization whose mission is to “Inspire environmental and cultural awareness, appreciation and stewardship”.
