Did you know that where you live was covered in a shallow sea millions of years ago? Well, that is why you can find some really unique fossils of sea creatures all over Wisconsin. In this meeting we will take a look at some of the cool fossils you can find in your own backyard or on the Lake Michigan shoreline. We will discuss when and where these organisms lived, the fossilization process and places you can find your very own Wisconsin fossils. This is a great introduction class to cover the basics of fossils before we head to the Lannon Stone Quarry to dig for fossils on May 9th!
