There is a push to rapidly build AI data centres all over Australia, which is driven by big tech corporations who want to make massive profits at the expense of democratic rights, ecology and the livelihood of workers. The majority of data centres are being planned in working-class, outer-suburban & rural areas, where the most vulnerable sections of the population are being silenced by politicians and corporations alike.
From Cooks River, Mascot, Auburn, communities are organising against the data centres. Join this public meeting co-hosted by Socialist Alliance Sydney and Green Left to discuss how we can push back against these destructive data centers, and resist the corporate-driven AI push that poses a threat to workers and democratic rights. Entry by donation.
No one turned away for lack of funds. Tasty affordable dinner, drinks and snacks. Proof of concession not required for entry, food or drinks. Dinner from 6pm, forum starts 6:30pm AEST
