“I call you not servants, but friends”: Christian FriendshipChrist called His own disciples His friends, thereby giving a new and startling definition to friendship. What is friendship for a Catholic, and how does it differ from other kinds of relationships and how does it relate to my faith? We will tackle this topic and the modern difficulties surrounding it the next Fortes talk.
Topics covered:
1. True friendship and its riches.
2. False counterfeits of friendship.
3. How to seek out, find and cultivate true friends.
4. Overcoming difficulties in this area.
The night will begin as usual with a Holy Hour from 6:30-7:30pm in the church, after which we will move to the school hall. Note that supper will be served in the hall from 7:30-8:00pm, with the talk commencing at 8pm. A $10 donation is kindly requested to cover the cost of food.
