About this Event
Location: The George Ranch – 10215 FM 762 RIchmond, TX 77469
The Fort Bend County Pedestrian Forum, organized by Citizens for Road Safety and the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, will feature a day of discussion with leaders and the community at the historic George Ranch, in Richmond, Texas. Participants will share insights about pedestrian safety while learning about the Lisa Torry Smith Act—the Texas Crosswalk Law passed in 2021, which makes it a crime to K*ll or injure a pedestrian or other vulnerable road user in a crosswalk.
Breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks will be provided.
The Forum is free to attend - places are limited so reserve your ticket today!
Everyone should be safe to live free. We all have the right to take a walk, visit a neighbor, gather with friends, walk to the store, ride a bike, venture out with an assisted mobility device, and enjoy our own neighborhood, our community, fresh air and nature—without the fear of death or injury. The right to be outside safely is the right to live free.
Join us on September 19, for a safer Fort Bend County, for a safer Texas, and help us #EndTheStreakTexas.
This Forum is brought to you by the Texas Department of Transportation, under a grant from TXDOT.
The Forum will be followed by a concert and a reception featuring local beverages.
