🌸 How are our events?
Our events start with a dance workshop for all dance levels followed by cozy social dance and party that aim to promote forró in Stockholm and expand its community.
🌸 What is forró?
Forró is a couple dance and a genre of music that originated in northeast Brazil and has evolved to include many different musical beats and dance styles. In the beginning, forró was associated with the working class. However, it is now very much international.
🌸 Can we buy food at Bonden Bar?
The bar won’t be serving meals on Sunday. However, they will serve snacks and a wide variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
🌸 What do you mean by “Wardrobe included”?
It’s mandatory to leave your jackets in the wardrobe at the entrance. You won’t be extra for this service. It’s included in the price.
🌸 Never danced forró?
Do not miss our dance workshop at the beginning of every event.
🌸 Do not have a dance partner?
It is very common in forró parties to come without a dance partner. We pair up during the workshop, and we dance with everyone at the parties.
🌸 Do we organize weekly dance classes?
No. However, we highly recommend you contact the Forró Stockholm organization which offers weekly classes on Samba de Gafieira and Forró. ([email protected]@gmail.com)
🌸 Are our dance workshops eligible for the wellness allowance (Friskvårdsbidraget)?
Yes, our classes and workshops qualify, but eligibility depends on your employer's policy. Contact your HR or employer for confirmation. Please note that parties are not eligible. For more info, visit our website: https://forroproject.com/wellness-allowance/

We recommend you wear something comfortable like indoor shoes. Please clean your shoes before going in or change your shoes so we can have a nice and clean dance floor.
