Chad Balster, a Louisville-based glass artist, has been working with glass since 1996. Trained at the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, Chad has worked alongside notable glassmakers across the country and now operates his own studio, Chad Balster Glass, near the Jefferson Memorial Forest. His work centers on color, form, and the way glass carries light. Whether functional or sculptural, his pieces aim to evoke harmony, beauty, and a sense of liveliness—objects that feel alive, or even sentient.
Dena Williams is a Southern Indiana artist with a long career spanning fine art, design, and education. A graduate of Indiana University Southeast, she has worked at the Speed Art Museum, in commercial and residential interior design, and most recently as a custom Kitchen & Bath Designer. Her artwork has been exhibited widely and is held in numerous corporate collections. Dena’s paintings emerge from an exploratory process rooted in experimentation with materials, geometric forms, and architectural influences. Each piece unfolds through an ongoing visual dialogue, allowing the work to develop organically without predetermined outcomes.
The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Please join us for the opening reception and to meet the artists from 1:00 - 3:00pm, January 17th, 2026.
