Step into the mystical world of Forest Song, a breathtaking theatrical adaptation of Lesya Ukrainka’s iconic drama, brought to life by Calgary’s Ukrainian Artis Theatre. Directed by Snizhana Bora, this performance blends movement, music, and poetic storytelling to explore profound themes that resonate across generations.

Adding to the experience, the talented Ukrainian choir Pereveslo will perform live, enriching the atmosphere with their powerful voices.

There will be an intermission for 10 minutes, and the performance will run for approximately 2 hours.

Зануртеся у містичний світ «Лісової пісні» – захопливої театральної адаптації культової драми-феєрії Лесі Українки, створеної українським театром Artis у Калгарі. Режисерка Сніжана Бора поєднує рух, музику та поетичне мистецтво, розкриваючи теми, що залишаються актуальними у всі часи.
В основі «Лісової пісні» лежать глибокі роздуми:
• Взаємини батьків і дітей—чи можна знайти баланс між сімейними очікуваннями та власними мріями?
• Відповідальність за свій вибір—чи готові ми приймати наслідки своїх рішень?
• Кохання та зрада—що перемагає: почуття чи обов’язок?
• Мрія та реальність—чи можливо жити у світі, де душа й розум не конфліктують?
• Вічний цикл життя—усе народжується, усе помирає, щоб відродитися в іншій формі.
• Гармонія людини та природи—чи здатні ми жити в єдності з навколишнім світом?
Кожна сцена, кожне слово, кожен рух і кожна нота у цій виставі запрошують глядачів до роздумів над одвічними питаннями життя.
Особливу атмосферу вистави створює український хор Перевесло, який додасть магії своїм живим виконанням.
