Forest Bathing on the Mountain – A Journey Inward

Immerse Yourself in the Serenity of Nature Discover the profound benefits of Shinrin-Yoku or Forest Bathing while exploring the tranquil grounds of Mount Sequoyah.

Forest Bathing is a Japanese practice which encourages you to open yourself to the calm and healing benefits of nature and the forest. Your Guide, Emmie Brenzel will walk you gently through invitations connecting you with the land and the natural world around you. Participants will be invited to move slowly, listen deeply, awaken their senses, and activate their imaginations. These reflective activities foster relaxation, self-awareness, and healing of the body and mind. Indoor and outdoor options will be available to accommodate weather and mobility issues. The practice closes with a ceremonial tea celebration. Walks will be limited to fourteen participants.

How to Prepare for a Forest Bathing Adventure

1. Dress comfortably for the weather keeping in mind that temperatures are cooler when seated, moving slowing, or closer to sundown.

2. Pack a portable chair for seating if you prefer not to get up and down off the ground.

3. Bring a water bottle for hydration if desired.

4. Please bring your sense of wonder and curiosity to the mountaintop.
