A gentle, sensory experience in the forest to support peace and presence.
About this Event

You are warmly invited to join a supportive and restorative forest bathing experience designed especially for individuals living with and navigating a cancer diagnosis.

Forest bathing, also known as “Shinrin-yoku,” is a gentle, guided immersion in nature that encourages slowing down, connecting with the senses, and finding moments of calm, reflection, and meaning. This is not a hike or a physically demanding activity—rather, it is a mindful, accessible experience where we move slowly, pause often, and allow the natural world to hold and support us.

This experience is created with deep care, sensitivity, and respect for where you are in your journey. Whether you are seeking peace, connection, emotional space, or simply a quiet moment outdoors, you are welcome exactly as you are.

What to Expect:

  • A slow, guided walk through a beautiful forest setting
  • Simple, optional mindfulness and sensory invitations
  • Time for rest, reflection, and quiet connection
  • A supportive, small-group environment
  • Opportunities (but no pressure) to share thoughts or feelings
  • A closing tea circle (weather and energy permitting)

Who This Is For:

  • Individuals living with a terminal cancer diagnosis
  • People currently undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment
  • Carers and loved ones of individuals navigating a cancer journey

(No prior experience with mindfulness or nature practices is needed.)

Accessibility & Comfort:

  • The pace will be slow, with frequent opportunities to sit and rest
  • Unfortunately, the route is not wheelchair accessible, but is walkable with sticks
  • Carers or companions are welcome to attend
  • Group size will be kept small to ensure a supportive atmosphere

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather
  • A blanket or portable chair if you wish
  • Water, snacks and personal medications
  • An open heart and willingness to simply be present

Who we are:

Your forest expereince will be guided by two experienced forest bathing guides.
