About this Event
Would you like to start your Sunday feeling relaxed and calm and having an immune system boost as we head into winter? Then come and get a dose of relaxing nature therapy at our Forest Bathing session in the ancient woodland of Beckenham Place Park. Enjoy slowing down mind and body as we take a gentle walk of 1.5-2km through the woodland, stopping in glades to do some mindfulness-based practices using our senses and chilling out with a peaceful, guided relaxation under the tree canopy.
There is a wealth of scientific research, that shows that being in a forest or wooded area can have a host of health benefits for our mental and physical well-being, e.g. it can: boost our mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve immune system function and sleep.
Your guide, Maya, (qualified with The Forest Bathing Institute -Complimentary Medicine Association accredited), has experience of leading forest bathing sessions for 220+ people to date (both public sessions in Beckenham Place Park; and workplace lunchtime sessions for Council staff).
New attendees will need to please complete an online registration form via this link:
