Join us for February's edition of 'Foreign Fridays with Jamison'!Celebrate Valentine's Day Weekend at the ACME. Come early this month for a light reception and meet and greet before the film. Share a toast and enjoy coffee and sweets before the screening. Refreshments starting at 6:30pm followed by the film at 7pm. Tasked with selecting a film that would align with the romantic holiday, and immediately I thought of "Italian for Beginners".
The movie, despite its title, is not an Italian film. Instead it is a romantic story about a group of adults in Denmark learning Italian together. I know there is a lovely community of people in Lambertville who do just that, and the parallels felt too apt to miss the opportunity to program this film, which I don't think many people have seen. As someone who has spent his entire adult career teaching Italian to adults and college students, I just know our monthly viewing and discussion afterwards will be animated and exciting, and I am very much looking forward to it.
So mark your calendars for Friday, February 13th at 6:30pm (reception) and 7:00 (movie) - I can't wait to see you all at the ACME!
