Foraging in the Pawpaw Patch

Pawpaw trees have the largest edible native fruit in North America. People describe their flavor as a mixture between banana and mango. They can be used in recipes or eaten fresh, and they are ripening in the park right now! Join us to learn more about these fascinating trees!
We will walk about 2 miles, forage for pawpaws, and try some of the delicious fruits. Bring a small bag or basket if you would like to collect some fruit to take home. Each participant will be allowed to collect around 2-3 pawpaws to take home.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
