Forage & Feast

Join foragers Hannah and Daniel for a day of foraging on the land around Bowden Pillars Farm. You’ll learn how to identify a range of wild plants that can be used for food and herbal remedies. Importantly you'll also learn how to ensure you forage in a safe and sustainable way, connecting in a deeper way to the ecology all around us. As well as sharing ideas for getting creative in the kitchen with wild foods, Hannah will bring in her background as a dietitian to share with you about how and why these wild plants are so good for us from a nutrition perspective. Once you've gathered a suitable harvest, Daniel will guide you through traditional fire making techniques so you can help create the fire that we will cook over. You will then get to enjoy a 3 course meal incorporating a range of seasonal wild edibles, part of which will be cooked over the fire. There will then be an opportunity for further foraging so you can take some away to experiment with at home!
