Footsteps: First Nations Art Tour | NAIDOC Week Special
Celebrate the beginning of NAIDOC Week with a relaxed and engaging lunchtime stroll through South Brisbane's vibrant Fish Lane. Discover striking First Nations artworks that bring the streets to life through stories of culture, history, resilience, and contemporary expression.
Beginning at Town Square with a warm cup of lemon myrtle tea, this guided walk invites you to connect with the stories, artists, and cultural significance behind 5–8 public artworks located throughout Fish Lane's cultural precinct.
As we mark the start of NAIDOC Week, participants will have the opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with First Nations perspectives in a welcoming and accessible way. Along the route, there will also be creative mark-making activities for participants of all ages to enjoy.
Whether you're celebrating NAIDOC Week for the first time or looking to deepen your understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, this family-friendly experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the city through art, storytelling, and connection.
