About the Foothills Naturalist Program:
The Foothills Naturalist Program provides adult participants with both ecological knowledge and a sense of community through outdoor experiential education opportunities on lands permanently protected by FCNC.
About this FREE course:
In Plant Identification, participants will learn about the vast diversity of our botanical neighbors here in WNC. You'll walk away with a newfound appreciation of plants as well as the knowledge necessary to identify many of the local plant families of our region.
Highlights include:
Exploring the forest with an eye for plants
Learning botanical terms to wow your friends
Connecting with fellow community members in our shared love of our wild spaces!
What to Bring:
Close toed shoes, long pants
Water
Sun protection
A journal and something to write with (we provide these if you don't have one)
Sense of adventure
This event is free but registration is required and spots are limited!
