Vermicomposting is one of the easiest ways to turn garbage into gold! Learn all about worms, options for bins, how to feed and care for them, how to use the compost for house or garden plants. Guest co-presenter from Richins Worm Farm!

This event is part of a short "From Kitchen to Compost" series:

  • 9/30 No Scrap Left Behind - Be a part of Food Waste Prevention Week with us as we dish up some tips for cooking creatively, making affordable meals, and forming easy habits that help stretch your grocery budget while reducing waste. Via Zoom only.
  • 11/14 Plant Powered Plates & Heartwood Haven Tour - Discover the benefits of meatless and plant-based meals. Participants will be given a simple cooking demo, learn about Heartwood Haven, and get a tour part of their property. In-person only in Roy, WA.

This will take place rain or shine. All ages welcome, kids must be accompanied by a guardian.
