Food For Thought - A Taste Of Rwanda
About this Event
Food for Thought: A Taste of Rwanda
Join us for the first Food for Thought Sunday lunch — a delicious three-course Rwandan meal prepared and shared by Vivenie Niragira Mugunga.
The meal is centred around sorghum, a traditional staple carbohydrate in Rwanda, served with matoke (green bananas), grilled meat and amaranth leaves; Igihaza (braised squash); Ibiharage (stewed beans); and Kinyarwanda — cabbage cooked with onions and spices. We'll finish with a selection of fresh tropical fruits.
As well as enjoying the food, you'll hear from Vivenie about Rwanda, its food and culture, followed by a relaxed, light-touch conversation around the table.
Pay what you can: £15 suggested, with reduced-price and free places available.
Everyone is welcome but places must be booked in advance. If you require a free place, please contact us directly at [email protected]
