The Revlon Girl by Neil Anthony Docking

The Green Room Productions presents Neil Anthony Docking’s acclaimed play, The Revlon Girl.
Set eight months after the Aberfan disaster, the play follows a group of bereaved mothers who meet each week in a room above a local pub. Away from the watchful eyes of their community, they find space to talk, to grieve and, at times, even to laugh without guilt.
When they secretly arrange for a representative from Revlon to visit and give them a beauty demonstration, a seemingly small act becomes something far more significant.
Blending humour, tenderness and the unspoken tensions of a close-knit community, The Revlon Girl is a deeply moving and unexpectedly uplifting story about grief, identity and finding a way to live again.
Our opening performance on Wednesday 21 October falls exactly 60 years after the Aberfan disaster.
at the Harvey Fringe Warehouse Theatre.
