July’s Film for the Food & Farm Series at Jackson Theatre hosted by ARCD & Jonesborough Locally Grown. Food and Country (2023) is a documentary of resilience. Following food writer Ruth Reichl, she exposes the fragility of the American food system. The film highlights stories of ranchers in Kansas and Georgia, farmers in Nebraska and the Bronx, a New England fisherman, and various independent restaurateurs attempting to pivot their businesses through sustainable and equitable food production.
