About this Event

Get a head start on your spring garden at one of the earliest plant sales in the area! Our annual native plant sale includes a small number of vendors (~5-7 vendors) from across the mid-Atlantic selling spring ephemerals and many other choice perennials and woody plants.

Join us on Saturday, March 28th from 8 AM to 1 PM along Meadow Road between the National Arboretum's Visitor Center and National Herb Garden (GPS Address: 2400 R St. NE, Washington, DC 20002). Registration is preferred but not required. Please let us know if you're coming and to receive important event updates.

The Native Plant Sale is held in conjunction with the National Arboretum's . Learn from expert speakers during a day of presentations about regenerative gardening, agroforestry, traditional ecological knowledge and more! . You do not need to attend the symposium to shop the sale.

NATIVE PLANT VENDORS
  • Hill House Nursery
  • Goodman LLC Native Plants & Conservation Consultancy
  • Nature by Design
  • Seven Bends Nursery
  • Pollinator Rare Plants

Vendors sell out quickly! Get there early to buy your plants. In the past, some vendors have sold out by lunchtime. Keep an eye out for our larger Garden Fair & Plant Sale on Saturday, April 25, featuring dozens of vendors!

Please bring your own boxes, wheeled cart, or wagon to transport your plants back to your car. Plant-sitting is available so you can leave your plants while you get your car or attend the Lahr Symposium.
