Foam Brewers presents a benefit concert for Migrant Justice w/ Burning MonkBurlington, VT based band, Burning Monk (a Rage Against the Machine tribute) will play 2 sets of music as facilitating an evening of awareness and fundraising for Migrant Justice VT. Migrant Justice is an organization whose mission is to build the voice, capacity, and power of the immigrant farmworker community to organize for economic justice and human rights.
The socially and politically charged music of Rage Against the Machine is more relevant than ever. Burning Monk channels their intended message with confidence and conviction while staying true to the power of righteous music. Proceeds from this concert will go to Migrant Justice as a means of contributing shared values.
This evening is meant to bring together positive aspects, assets and members of our Burlington community as an example of what can be done right in this world in a time when it’s easy to see the wrong. A shared, cathartic experience through music can facilitate hope.
Burning Monk is Vermont’s premier Rage Against the Machine tribute band. They confidently display the spirit and power of what can be considered one of the most socially impactful bands in music history.
Based in Burlington, VT Burning Monk formed in 2015 and has covered the first two Rage Against the Machine albums in their entirety and plays a wide range of popular and deep cut songs from the band’s complete catalog.
Burning Monk recognizes the strength of Rage Against the Machine’s content and respectfully executes each performance with their own playful aggression without compromising the integrity of the content. Simply put, Burning Monk has fun and invites the audience to celebrate heavy groove, cathartic sing-a-longs and let loose.
