🔥 Poetic SaunaFemale Minority Voices and Laugaren warmly invite you to Poetic Sauna - a space shaped by warmth, listening, and care.
This month we gather around We Will Not Be Saved by Nemonte Nenquimo & Leila Salazar-López, a book that reminds us that change does not arrive from above, but grows through relationships - to land, to community, to one another.
What to Expect:
Poetic Sauna is curated by members of Female Minority Voices and centers poetry, personal texts, reflections, and storytelling by women of minority backgrounds.
The readings create the atmosphere. Heat helps us slow down.
Between sessions, we cool off, rest, and return.
This is a gentle space.
A shared space.
We come together to listen - not to debate, convince, or perform, but to be present with stories that carry memory, resistance, and care. Some words speak of land and belonging, others of bodies, survival, and everyday acts of holding on.
Everyone is welcome.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
You are welcome whether you speak or simply listen.
