Celebrate the first weekend of spring by learning how to grow beautiful flowers from seed with Kelly Wilson of Slater Road Farms.This hands-on session is part of our Spring Garden Series and focuses entirely on flowers — how to choose the right varieties, when to start them, and how to plan for blooms that arrive when you want them to.
What we’ll cover:
• Flower seed starting techniques
• Understanding planting time vs. bloom time
• Which flowers benefit from early starting
• How to plan for continuous spring color
• Regional considerations for Zone 8a
Hands-on element:
Each participant will go home with a Flower Planting Schedule created by Kelly to help guide what to plant and when for the best results.
☕ Petrichor Coffee will be on-site from 8:30am–12pm if you’d like to grab a cup before or after the session.
