Los Tangueros del Oeste
Performing from 5-7pm
Los Tangueros del Oeste was founded by bassist/composer Sascha Jacobsen. He’s explored his passion for tango in numerous ensembles, and this might be his most adventurous yet!
In collaboration with Argentine singer Manuel Berterreix, and featuring Argentine virtuoso Pablo Estigarribia on piano, Charles Gorczynski on the bandoneón, Hip-Hop producer Daniel Riera, Venezuelan guitarist Carlos Caminos, and Puerto Rican violinist Ishtar Hernandez, Los Tangueros is steeped in the Nuevo Tango styles of Astor Piazzolla, Gotan Project, and Bajo Fondo.
The group combines beats and textures from Hip-Hop and Electronica, with Flamenco influences filtered through an improvisational lens. Los Tangueros’ singular Nuevo Tango sound is cool and impassioned, sensuous, seductive and utterly dance-inducing.

What is the Flower Piano Lounge?
During Flower Piano 2025, the Celebration Garden in the Botanical Garden will be transformed into the Flower Piano Lounge, an upgraded musical landscape featuring priority entry to the festival, special performances from local headliners, access to premium bars, food from local makers, lounge seating, dedicated restrooms, and flexibility to relax and enjoy all areas of the festival at will. The Lounge has limited capacity.
