Unleash your inner artist with our exciting and dynamic face-to-face course, "Flower Painting in Acrylics” in a contemporary style. This course is perfect for anyone eager to explore the vibrant world of floral art using acrylic paints, whether you're a seasoned artist looking to refine your skills or a beginner ready to dive into the colourful realm of contemporary flower painting.

You'll discover innovative techniques and modern approaches to capturing the beauty and essence of flowers on canvas. Guided by an experienced tutor, you will learn to blend colours, create striking compositions, and use brushstrokes that convey movement and vitality. Our focus on a fresh and contemporary style will inspire you to break away from traditional methods and experiment with bold, expressive forms and vibrant palette.

• Artist research and examples of floral painting
• Colour mixing and composition studies
• Surface preparation and sketching
• Painting techniques: layering, impasto and glazing
• Complete a painting on canvas
• Protect your painting by varnishing it
  

By the end of this course, you will have created several stunning pieces that reflect your unique artistic voice and a newfound confidence in your ability to paint flowers with a contemporary flair. Learners will complete at least one work on canvas. They will have fun by experimenting with the palette knife and become more confident in using acrylics.

Resources required by attendees:

• Acrylic paper/sketch pad, A4 canvas, white gesso, a range of synthetic paint brushes, photo reference, metallic palette knife, acrylic paint (student grade)
• Red (Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red,
• Yellow (Lemon and Cadmiun Yellow),
• Blue (Ultramarine, and Cerulean),
• Magenta , Turquoise, Titanium white

The art materials are to be discussed during the first session of the course when the tutor will cover the topic.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
