About this Event
If you already hold a Level 1 Award in Floristry or have hands-on experience in the industry, this course is designed for you. It’s a great opportunity to build on your existing skills, gain confidence, and take on more responsibility in a professional floristry setting.
Floristry Certificate - Level 2
Course UnitsUnit 201 – Introduction to Art and Design for Florists
- Explore the elements and principles of design through five floral design drawings.
- Understand colour relationships, including a 12-section colour wheel, colour harmonies, and colour properties.s.
Unit 202 – Quality Control of Incoming Cut Materials
- Identify 30 cut flowers and 10 cut foliage's.
- Receive, condition, and process fresh materials from wholesalers.
- Handle paperwork and pricing: use delivery notes to calculate retail prices and create a price list.
Unit 204 – Tied Floristry Designs
- Create four hand-tied designs, each accompanied by a working drawing, labels, care instructions, and costings.
Unit 205 – Funeral and Sympathy Designs
- Produce four funeral/sympathy designs with full costings.
Some topics were introduced in Level 1 and will be explored in greater depth at Level 2.
Entry Requirements:
- Level 1 Award in Floristry
- Relevant industry experience working in a floristry setting.
How will I be assessed?
- During the course, you’ll build two portfolios: one showcasing your practical floristry work, and another demonstrating your understanding of art and design principles for florists.

Fees:
Fees & EligibilityThe course is fully funded (free) if you meet one of the following criteria (proof required):
- You earn below £25,750 annually
- You are unemployed and receiving benefits
Please note:
- Learners must be UK residents and legally living in the UK on the first day of learning.
- If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, the course fee is £800, which includes all materials except for a Floristry Kit (approx. £30).
- Previous learners may reuse their Level 1 kit.
- Funded learners may use classroom equipment but cannot take it home.
