We heard you like Canadians… and west coast swing… so we’ve got some fabulous Canadian champions coming to town! Flore and Philippe Berne are known for their incredible Showcase routines, playful social dancing, and detailed, accessible instruction- how lucky are we to have them visit for a whole weekend? We’re kicking things off with a tricks + trick safety mini-intensive on Friday night, then a full day of learning and dancing until midnight on Saturday. Take a break from the summer heat to train hard and dance joyfully ✨
We have residential neighbors at our Saturday venue who appreciate their sleep and their resident-only parking spots. Please monitor your volume outside of the venue and take care not to park in marked resident spots or on the left-hand side of the garage (the right side is safe after the hours posted on the signs).

7pm-9pm: Love the Flore: Tricks + Trick Safety w/ Flore & Philippe Berne (int+ WCS)
*Must be able to get up and down from the floor without modification*
SATURDAY SCHEDULE
VFW Post 529, Somerville
2:00pm-5:00pm Phil the Berne intensive with Flore & Philippe Berne (int+ WCS)
5:00pm-7:00pm Dinner break
7:00pm-9:00pm Drop-in workshops with Flore & Philippe Berne (int+ WCS)
8:00pm-9:00pm Beginner WCS class with Renee Wasko
9:00pm-12:00am Social dancing with DJ Maxwell Thew
SUNDAY SCHEDULE

Private lessons with Flore & Philippe Berne- send us a message to schedule
*Classes marked as intermediate+ require dancers to have a solid grasp on basic west coast swing (side passes, push break, tuck, basic whip, inside & outside turns, starter step, etc.). If a class is not designated as int+, all dancers are welcome!

Online registrations include a small processing fee to help offset PayPal and Stripe fees.
ABOUT FLORE & PHILIPPE
Philippe & Flore Berne hail from France, and are now living and working in Montreal, Canada. They come from two different backgrounds: Philippe from the world of dance competition, and Flore from the world of social dancing. Their complementarity adds flow and uniqueness to their dance style.
They are renowned for their professionalism, their versatility, their passion and their devotion to their students and community. They nurture quality and hard work, always with a touch of humor. You have never attended one of their classes? Do not wait!
Today, they are emerging West Coast Swing Showcase Champions, and placed 5th in 2016 and 4th in 2017 at the US Open.
