🌸 Hello Flower Arrangers! 🌸
For our upcoming meeting on May 13 at 12:00 PM, you are encouraged to bring flowers and a container of your choice to create a floral arrangement. Feel free to use greenery and flowers from your yard, the supermarket, florist, or even a neighbor’s garden. Compose your arrangement in any style you like!
Arrangements will be evaluated according to good design principles, with points awarded for:
• Unity and Balance — 33 points
• Design — 33 points
• Development of Focal Area — 33 points
This beautiful award (handcrafted by moi) will be given to the highest scoring arrangement. This event is all about fun, beauty, socialization, and learning from each other to become skillfully aware of the design principles that make arrangements beautiful.
Between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM, flower arrangers will showcase their creativity. We will break for lunch at 1:00 PM, followed by a discussion of each arrangement’s strengths and areas for improvement.
No pressure to compete or make an arrangement—just bring your curiosity and love of flowers!
