Get ready for an unforgettable day of cycling, coastal views, and giving back!
Where: Start at Cleveland Train Station
When: Saturday, September 5
Time: Meet at 7:00am for a 7:15am group departure
Return: Back on the mainland by approximately 5:30pm
Ride: Flip Flop 50 – 50km cycle on North Stradbroke Island
We’ll kick things off by riding from Cleveland Train Station to the ferry terminal, then cruise across to beautiful North Stradbroke Island. From there, we ride up to Point Lookout and back—so don’t forget to bring your flip flops!
At the turn around point we’ll take a break to enjoy a stunning 1.2km scenic boardwalk walk along the cliffs. Expect breathtaking ocean views and a great chance of spotting dolphins and turtles. (Don’t worry—your bikes will be safely watched while we explore on foot.)
After working up an appetite, enjoy a classic Aussie sausage sizzle before a relaxed ride back to catch the ferry home.
Cost: $50 entry fee
Includes: Return ferry trip, sausage sizzle lunch, provision of support vehicle and event insurance.
Fundraising:
Each rider is asked to raise or donate a minimum of $50 (tax deductible) for Eagles Wings.
What to bring:
Your bike & helmet
Cycling shoes (to ride) and flip flops (for the coastal walk)
Drinks & ride snacks
