Magick in Motion Belly Dancer's are proud to host FLINT FUSION featuring world famous Ebony Qualls!
There will be 2 days of workshops taught by Ebony herself as follows:

Urban Fusion Technique 10am-12pm
Study a challenging and unique spin on fusion belly dance. Drill technique that will inform new combinations which are influenced by urban styles found in hip hop, retro funk styles such as popping, and the timeless influence of raqs sharqi. Build coordination, work on isolating movements, and expand your dance style with unusual combos. This workshop will be high energy, prepare to sweat and have fun. Dance shoes recommended, but not required.

1.21 Jigglewatts: A Shimmy Clinic 11am-1pm
A deep practice in shimmy technique. Ebony will introduce her own methods of shimmy practice and spark “aha moments” of new understanding in your gyrating journey. From the basics to wild mind/body challenges in layering, traveling and flutters - we’ll put it all together in some giggly fun combinations that will spark your own creative ideas.
Layer Cake: Advanced Fusion Layering and Choreography 2pm-4pm
Get ready to multitask! We'll start by drilling basic undulations, accents and shimmies with an emphasis on isolating these movements. Then, we'll embellish those basics by layering them one piece at a time. Kick it up a notch with traveling steps to create clean layers along with strong and controlled movement. Learn powerful, yet graceful combinations that can be used in choreography or improvisation. Dance shoes recommended, but not required.
Showcase featuring Ebony as our headliner! 5/4/2024 5pm-7pm

Dancers that wish to perform can submit application for the show and, if approved, will receive their showcase admission for half off!
