Flameworking 102
This 3-week session covers a wide range of glass bead techniques - from becoming skilled at making simple "donut" and round beads, to creating a variety of shapes and textures using both tools and free-hand work. You'll learn multiple decorating methods such as how to:
-use stringer and chards
-do multiple ways of encasing
-make and use simple and complex twisted cane
-perform detailed stringer control for intricate dot work, masking and layering.
-incorporate metals and wire to add depth and dimension beads
This course includes a balance of instructor demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands-on torch time and practice. All materials are included. Registration is limited to 4 to ensure individual instruction
Students benefit most when taking all three sessions consecutively, but with instructor approval, each session can be a "stand alone" class, if desired.
