Come and join us for an informative session on targeted grazing and prescribed fire in Saskatoon Natural Grasslands. This 2 hour program will include a talk from local experts about fire and grazing that is happening in Saskatoon Natural Grasslands.
During this program we will walk over to the prescribed fire location that happened last TREX. Get ready to learn about the importance of fire, grazing and volunteer stewardship out at Saskatoon Natural Grasslands. We will have a chance to see the flock and burn site and will talk about conservation stewardship Meewasin has completed throughout the river valley. Participants will have a chance to chat with Jared and Renny, experts in their fields, to learn in a personalized, exclusive experience.
This is a paid experience where we will have coffee, tea and light refreshments available for guests!
Please note due to location size that while the sheep will be present, this will NOT be a grazing demonstration, this is just a chance to have an intimate chat about conservation work with sheep and fire in the area.
Unfortunately, no walk-ups will be permitted due to the limited site size. This limit is set to reduce the number of people in the site, parking, and stress on the animals. Registration is required to attend. No food or beverage will be served at this event.
