Five Elements Tai Chi in the Forest: Release, Restore & Reconnect
About this Event
There is something special about practicing Tai Chi among the trees.
Join Ross Clark-Moore for a peaceful and energizing morning of Five Elements Tai Chi Qigong in the forest, where flowing movement, conscious breathing and focused awareness come together with the natural environment.
During this 90-minute experience, Ross will guide you through movements and energetic principles connected with the Five Elements:
- Wood — growth, flexibility and new direction
- Fire — warmth, vitality and openness
- Earth — stability, nourishment and grounding
- Metal — clarity, strength and letting go
- Water — flow, restoration and inner stillness
Rather than simply learning a sequence of movements, you will be invited to experience how each element feels within your body and energy. Gentle Tai Chi and Qigong practices will help you release accumulated tension, settle your mind and reconnect with your natural rhythm.
The forest provides a beautiful setting for this practice. Surrounded by trees, fresh air and the sounds of nature, we can step away from everyday distractions and become more present in our bodies.
During the session, you can expect:
- Gentle body and joint warm-ups
- Five Elements Tai Chi and Qigong movements
- Breath and energy-awareness practices
- Grounding and balance exercises
- Quiet moments of connection with the forest
- A closing meditation to gather and settle your energy
No previous Tai Chi or Qigong experience is necessary. The movements are slow, accessible and taught step by step. You do not need to be especially flexible or physically fit, although participants should be comfortable standing and moving outdoors on natural, potentially uneven ground.
Come breathe, move and reconnect—with your body, your energy and the natural world around you.
We will meet by the parking area on the south side of FM 1488 Rd opposite Woodsons and Galindos.
