A fishing rod building class will be held on February 13, 20, and 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the Wickiup Hill Learning Center. Custom rod builder Chuck Ungs will lead participants through the process of building a Rainshadow spinning rod. When finished with this series of classes, you keep the rod you build and will then have the knowledge to move onto other rod-building projects. Cost depends on the model of fishing rod blank, and options selected. Participants must pre-register by January 7 to ensure we receive parts in time for the class. The class itself costs $85 but components will be extra. For additional information or to register, call 319-892-6485.
