Want to learn how to fish, but don’t know where to start? Or maybe it’s been a while since you put tackle on a pole? Well, there’s no time like now to learn or relearn a skill! We will teach you how to bait the hook, put tackle on the pole and practice casting, and you can gain hands-on experience while fishing along the shoreline with the guidance of an instructor.
Fee: $5 per person.
Age: Ages 8 years and older.
Registration required by Wednesday, July 22, by calling 708-946-2216 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/10122?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
All materials are provided, including pole, tackle and bait.
Monee Reservoir Visitor Center is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
